ALMOST GONE by ABSENT MINDED

I was looking for distraction, a little kindness and affection.
In some one who understood, some one who wasnâ??t you.
We both made some mistakes I guess we were running toward the end.
We really did not see we were meant to be.

All the trust is lost because of what weâ??ve done.
Now weâ??re fading, weâ??re almost gone.
Weâ??ve lost ourselves in the arms of some one else.
Though we wanted each other we are beyond help.

We took the chance and I guess we lost
So will I become the one you loved so long ago? In time Iâ??ll know
There is comfort in being numb, but deep inside the pain lives on.
There is nothing strong enough to keep me thinking of what weâ??ve lost.
